Former Central Bank Governor gives evidence before a police team

Former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran has given a statement relating to the Central Bank bond issue before a f police team instead of Presidential Commission probing the issue


Mahendran arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) appointed to look into the Bond Sale issue, a short while ago to give his evidence.

But he was informed to make statement to a police team at the Commission premises in Colombo today.

He was accused of a Bond sale misappropriation which had incurred a loss of Rs. 32 billion to the Treasury.
Presidential commission hearing was postponed to Monday the 13 Mr Mahendran has will appear before the Presidential Commission on that day to give evidence on the bond issue. (LIN)
