No complaint on SL Navy hurling petrol bombs

India has said that it has not received any complaints that the Sri Lanka Navy had hurled petrol bombs on Indian fishermen. Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh informed the Rajya Sabha that no complaint had been made to the Indian Government against Sri Lanka’s navy, allegedly hurling petrol bombs at Indian fishermen.

SL has enacted progressive legislation : JM at 13th UNODC

United Nations' Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) commenced it's 13th United Nations' Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Conference on 12th April and continued till 19th in Doh, Qatar. Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, PC, Minister of Justice representing Sri Lanka attended the High Level Event on Countering Narcotics Trafficking on the High Seas in the Indian Ocean under the Global Maritime Crime Programme Event and delivered a key note address while Yuri Fedotov, Executive Director of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crimes chaired the conference. Rajapakshe addressed on the subject of "Developing Legal Response to Drug trafficking at sea and expressed serious concerns of Sri Lanka on the issue of criminal activity in the maritime domain.
