Sri Lanka growth level satisfactory: World Bank

Sri Lanka’s economic performance was satisfactory in 2016 despite challenges posed by natural disasters, the World Bank said in a report on Friday.

The Sri Lanka Development Update (SLDU) report said the reforms led by the new government to improve competitiveness, maintain macro-fiscal stability and strengthen institutions, with broad support in the country, were key to robust economic growth, job creation and poverty reduction, reports Xinhua news agency.


Court suspends Udayanga’s passports

As Ranbir Kapoor turns producer for the first time with his upcoming film ‘Jagga Jasoos’ which co-stars his former beau Katrina Kaif, he admitted that he doesn’t think he will produce another film in the near future. In one of their many promotional interviews, Ranbir mentioned that he thinks Katrina will be better at producing films and he doesn’t think he can make for a good producer.
