The Finance Ministry is sponsoring and organising the event, which is aimed at informing the public of the progress of the development projects being carried out under the programme, especially the Gamperaliya Rapid Rural Development Project.
Highlighting the details of the event, Anuradhapura Government Agent R.M. Wanninayaka told the Daily News that the exhibition would focus on seven different ‘zones’ (sectors); namely the Entrepreneurs Zone, State and Private Sector Zone, Educational Zone, Green Zone, Innovative Productions Zone, and the Media Zone.
According to officials from the Finance Ministry, prospective entrepreneurs from Rajarata would receive the opportunity to obtain free business consultation, information about specially-designed micro-loan packages, as well as registration with banking institutes to obtain those loans instantly under the Enterprise Sri Lanka Consolation Loan Scheme. There will be a Higher Studies Guidance Programme for students, as well as free healthcare and medical laboratory services for the public.
Those who visit the exhibition could also buy export-quality clothes made by factories coming under the Sri Lanka Investment Board at low rates.
