Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said he had not accepted funds from alleged Central Bank bond issue.

He said he was not among those 118 individuals who were alleged to have benefited from the scam.

He was addressing the media after laying the foundation stone to construct the Ankumbura bus stand at a cost of Rs. 36 million.

The Minister said he was among the group that stood against corruption.

The Ankumbura bus stand will be complete by December 31. The Minister also laid the foundation stone to construct the Bogambara Transitional Bus stand. It will be complete by November 28 at a cost of Rs. 196.42 million.

The Minister also started the rehabilitating work of the underground drainage network in the Kandy City at a cost of Rs. 1,016 million. It will be completed by 2020.
