'PadMan' star Akshay Kumar never held a sanitary pad?

Akshay Kumar has been positively impacting society with each film release. The actor, who is all set to release his next film 'PadMan', over the Republic day weekend has been going about town promoting his film and the importance of menstruation hygiene menstrual hygiene with full vigour. However, it was reported that the actor wasn't aware of menstruation until his twenties and hadn't even held a sanitary pad in his hand.

Mayhem in CEB as unions takes chairman and officials hostage, unions call for strike today

Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) workers announced an islandwide strike from today morning, after a union demonstration which took CEB Chairman W.B. Ganegala and a number of officials hostage turned sour when riot police intervened to secure the head office premises in Fort last night. The CEB workers launched a surprise demonstration in the evening without informing the management, forcing officials to remain in the building for over five hours, CEB spokesperson Sulakshana Jayawardana claimed.
