Port deal is credit positive, says Moody’s

Rating agency Moody’s declared yesterday that the Hambantota Port deal signed on Saturday and resulting in an inflow of $ 1.12 billion, is credit positive for Sri Lanka because it will boost foreignexchange reserves, which will ease the Government’s external liquidity position ahead of several large international bond payments in 2019-22.
