Sirisena in last ditch attempt to pacify supporters – Mahinda Rajapaksa

Responding to President Maithripala Sirisena’s statement at the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) May Day rally in Batticaloa yesterday (7), that he had no intention of quitting the Presidency and therefore, he would likely contest at the Presidential Election in 2020, Former President and incumbent Parliamentarian Mahinda Rajapaksa said ...that President Sirisena made such statements because he wanted to secure his support base, which was dwindling.
